We are looking for aThought Leader Liaisonwho is highly collaborative has holistic thinking with patient access as an end goal and understands the patient journey to join us in our Epilepsy and Rare Syndromes team based in our Atlanta GAoffice. This role is a Westcoast regional-based field position covering the following states:Texas Louisiana Oklahoma and Colorado

About the role

The Thought Leader Liaison develops and strengthens strategic partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and internal stakeholders. They ensure optimal KOL engagement at medical meetings and commercial advisory boards and will continue to position UCB as an epilepsy market leader delivering on the Patient Value Strategy throughout the entire Epilepsy portfolio in their region.

This is a portfolio-wide focus on driving impact withinEpilepsy and Rare Syndromesinclusive to Dravet Lennox-Gastaut communities and patients suffering from partial onset and cluster seizures.

Who youll work with

  • The Marketing Medical Affairs Regional Advocacy Group Leads Sales Leadership and Ecosystem Partnerships teams
  • Epilepsy KOLs in the region
  • Epilepsy Conferences Advisory Boards and Patient Advocacy groups
  • Members of the UCB speakers bureau

What youll do

  • Develop regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) within the epilepsy community
  • Cultivate relationships with KOLs to execute the overall strategic engagement plan
  • Work closely with cross-functional UCB teams to maximize HCP engagement opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans for epilepsy conferences and work closely with conference organizers to maximize corporate sponsorship and branding opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to coordinate and pull-through branding execution at epilepsy conferences as well as commercial advisory boards
  • Liaise closely with the Marketing and Medical Team to inform strategies and to help execute as appropriate and compliant
  • Connect Thought Leaders with other relevant parts of the UCB organization (e.g. Marketing Market Access Medical Affairs etc.) to execute against Peer-to-Peer strategies and uncover any unmet needs while maintaining compliance with guidelines on appropriate medical/commercial collaboration
  • Manage project timelines & budgets
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priorities and evaluate results making go/no-go decisions
  • Effectively train and develop members of the speaker bureau when needed to ensure effective and compliant communication of key educational content
  • Develops and maintains a keen understanding of the UCB U.S. Neurology Epilepsy business strategic vision
  • Medical Scientific & Therapeutic Area Expertise: Acquiring scientific and medical knowledge around rare diseases to ensure being scientifically sound as well as the ability to acquire and/or deepen knowledge about new therapeutic areas and indications.

Interested For this role were looking for the followingeducation experienceandskills

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical experience in epilepsy sales marketing medical KOL development sales
  • Experience working successfully with various internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop productive relationships with physicians and other Healthcare Professionals
  • Proven experience at being able to build processes and execute on strategic plans
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Operates at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standards.
  • Ability to travel 50%

Preferred experience

  • Masters degree in life sciences business or healthcare
  • Experience working with home office / corporate / sales management
  • Successful business development experience
  • Relationships with neurologists/epileptologists in the region

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $ 164000 - $215300 annually. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidates geographic region job-related knowledge skills and experience among other factors.
