Job Description
Hillcrest Youth Services is seeking a Full-Time Youth Care Worker (2nd Shift) to join our residential program teams. This role involves supervising youth in our care. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM with an hourly rate of $18.
2nd Shift Differential: $0.50

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Supervision of residents.
- Work schedule: Sunday through Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
- All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program.
- The first week of training will be mostly completed during Monday-Friday First Shifthours 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM
- Ability to be a positive role model.
- Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
- Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
- Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
- Ability to manage personal stress.
- Administer appropriate medication(s).
- Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
- Transportation of residents.
- Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
- Ability to work with youth of all ages.
- Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
- Excellent communication time management and organizational skills.
- Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrests programming.
Job Qualifications
WHATS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- Must be 21 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Sociology or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred.
- Must have valid drivers license and qualify for Companys vehicle liability insurance.
- Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks fingerprinting CPS check sex offender registry check and drug screen.
