Job Summary

Providing expert advice and demonstrating advanced technical skills ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC. Applying a deeper understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
Producing reports on innovative outcomes to a high intellectual standard
Providing advice where the concept proposal has nonstandard engineering for the accuracy and correctness of calculations prepared for design.
Proactively collaborating with appropriate team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and coordination of project deliverables.
Supervising the review of complex design to ensure the clients requirements have been met and recommending improvements and corrections
Being an active participant in project and team meetings and communicating openly and regularly with the appropriate contributors and stakeholders
Proactively sharing knowledge to provide technical support and mentoring
Actively contribute to the commercial success of projects and the team.
Consulting with a manager on maintaining agreed utilization rates and ensuring ones own time is recorded promptly in the timesheet system
Effectively managing project resources including staff
Understanding and actively contributing to the achievement of the teams business plan
Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner.
Planning and managing small medium and large-scale projects. This will include coordinating the preparation of: cost estimates tender submissions technical documentation client reports and monitoring project progress project scheduling/resourcing and meeting deadlines and budgets
Adhering to the document management process
Liaising with project managers and appropriate stakeholders to ascertain information required to undertake design and documentation tasks.
Managing time effectively in order to complete tasks on time
