Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Regional HSE Specialist for Real Estate and play a crucial role in enhancing our companys health safety and environmental (HSE) culture. You will create evaluate and administer operational health and safety programs for all workers at construction sites; inspect monitor and evaluate the site HSE programs for value and effectiveness; analyze safety concerns and recommend solutions to the appropriate manager; and conduct investigations of site incidents some of which may require litigation. This is an exciting opportunity to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement as a subject matter expert. You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors on our planet and on the achievement of functional results. Additionally you will be part of a global team providing you with the opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives and cultures.
Location: Homebased with travel Europe wide.

How youll make an impact:
Drive a culture of safety and sustainability: Prioritize HSE in all decision-making processes employ risk management and strategic planning ensure compliance with Hitachi Energys standards and regulations and promote Net-Zero targets.
Foster an initiative-taking HSE culture: Collaborate with the HSE function Real Estate Regional Leads Country Real Estate Managers and Project Managers to increase awareness engage team members in HSE programs and promote a learning culture.
Ensure regulatory compliance: Align projects from construction to facilities management with Hitachi Energys HSE Operating System and country and local legislation.
Develop and maintain HSE competency: Equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and responsibly.
Support supplier and contractor management: Collaborate with external parties to ensure they adhere to Hitachi Energys HSE standards.
Your Background:
Proven experience in HSE management within the construction industry.
Strong leadership communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and standards.
Ability to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
Proven ability to develop and implement HSE programs and initiatives.
