Position Summary

The Associate Director Global Supply Chain Transformation Lead plays a critical leadership role within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization driving the full portfolio of change the business strategies in alignment with the GSC strategic roadmap. This position leads enterprise-wide projects and initiatives including business development activities such as acquisitions divestitures and alliance partnerships.

As a transformation catalyst and strategic integrator you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution effective stakeholder engagement and long-term value creation. This role requires strong executive communication organizational change leadership and the ability to influence across a matrixed environment. You will serve as a trusted advisor and connector across the GSC leadership team and broader enterprise stakeholders to enable successful transformation and long-term value creation.

You will also support annual business planning performance analytics and act as a backup for peers and managers across all GSC pillarsincluding logistics customer partnerships global business units cell therapy and clinical supply chains.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Business Development Execution

  • Lead the orchestration and execution of GSC strategic projects and global initiatives ensuring effective governance budgeting communications and performance tracking.
  • Lead the annual strategy deployment (Hoshin Kanri) and strategic portfolio management (annual portfolio planning) processes for GSC (including project budget).
  • Oversee the GSC Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for standardized tools templates and ways of working that drive value and support adherence to the GPSiPlan portfolio management system.
  • Manage cross-functional integration efforts for acquisitions alliances and divestitures with a focus on planning logistics and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as a key liaison to the GSC Leadership Team delivering clear and timely executive updates.
  • Collaborate with enterprise partners (e.g. Finance Procurement Quality) to drive business development deal execution.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track deal progress performance metrics and integration milestones.
  • Introduce external best practices to enhance supply chain integration and enterprise value.

Ways of Working & Continuous Improvement

  • Own and evolve GSC PMO and Business Development playbooks incorporating lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
  • Lead a community of practice for integration leaders to foster cross-functional knowledge sharing.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence confidentiality and continuous improvement.
  • Actively contribute to the GPS Portfolio Excellence and Business Development Centers of Excellence and lead high-impact cross-functional projects across global sites.

Culture & People

  • Manage GSC project manager full-time employee and contractor resources ensuring support of most strategic initiatives.
  • Define prepare and execute communication plans for GSC (in collaboration with pillar SBO leads) that include newsletters townhalls face-to-face event preparations and other culture engagements.
  • Ensure excellent stakeholder management within GSC and with partners such as Finance BI&A Demand Planning Human Resources IT etc.
  • Lead and facilitate community of practice and hybrid/virtual centers of excellence for change and culture initiatives.
  • Organize cultural and team-building events activities and workshops to promote collaboration inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging among employees.
  • Inspire and energize cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with strategic goals and a positive end-user experience.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Senior Director GSC Business Performance & Transformation.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Life Sciences Business or a related field required; Masters degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations or supply chain ideally within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading or significantly contributing to strategic initiatives business development (e.g. acquisitions divestitures integrations) or enterprise-wide transformation programs.

  • Demonstrates strong people leadership skills by fostering an inclusive collaborative and high-performing team environment; provides clear direction coaching and support to enable individual and team growth and success.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with high organizational impact across global matrixed environments.
  • Strong enterprise mindset with the ability to connect company strategy to actionable outcomes within the Global Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement executive-level communication and influencing without authority.

Business Acumen & Analytical Skills

  • Strong financial and business acumen including the ability to develop business cases assess P&L impact and articulate and track value propositions.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at making data-driven decisions in dynamic environments.

  • Skilled in building collaborative relationships across diverse teams and functions.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving progress with agility and resilience.
  • Experience fostering a growth mindset and culture of continuous improvement.

Digital Fluency

  • Proficient in leveraging digital tools and systems (e.g. SAP IBP Maestro) to enable operational excellence.
  • Up to date on emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to supply chain transformation.

Compensation Overview:

New Brunswick - NJ - US: $162860 - $197348

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job such as required skills where the job is performed the employees work schedule job-related knowledge and experience. Final individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
