Key duties and responsibilities
The ServiceNow Lead Developer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Develop ServiceNow solutions including scripting configuration integrations and customisations.
- Collaborate with business analysts user researchers and service designers to understand business requirements and translate them into iterative prototypes through to the development of final working solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Provide advanced technical support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis.
- Ensure system stability and performance by performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
- Work in accordance with agile principles and practices including participation in agile ceremonies.
- Document all technical designs specifications and knowledge transfer materials.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop best practices for ServiceNow development.
- Train and mentor junior developers.
- Stay on top of new ServiceNow features and functionalities and incorporate them into the development process.
Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge, experience of, and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
