Job Responsibilities
MUSC Chester Hospital

Ensures safety order and control of inmates housed in the community hospitals and all other duties assigned by the Division of Security Management.
Instructs and supervises subordinate security personnel.
Inspects posts to ensure proper performance of duties.
Is up to date on security status of inmates assigned to the hospital.
Ensures control of security keys/equipment at the community hospital.
Prepares submits and reviews operational and administrative reports.
Respond to complaints and concerns from hospital staff.

- U.S. Citizen.
- 18 and over.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid drivers license.
- Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Must pass a physical exam administered by SCDC.
Must successfully complete the Correctional Officer Basic Certification Course within first six months of placement into the position.Additional Comments
