What we want
The Admissions Coordinator I coordinates file processing student account management and the planning development implementation for various recruitment and enrollment activities. Processes and evaluates applications for competitiveness both for the JD and Graduate programs at the Texas A&M School of Law.
What you need to know
Salary: $50000-$60000 Compensation will be commensurate to selected hires experience.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree
Three years of experience working in a role that demonstrates an attention to detail and ability to maintain a system at a high level of efficiency.
Responsibilities
Admissions Processing and Operations
Coordinates and assists with the admissions process for both JD and Graduate student programs
Manages the LSAC Unite system for the admissions department and keeps up to date with opportunities to better utilize the system for departmental effectiveness
In addition to the Unite system utilizes other systems and software to help the admissions department operate at the highest level possible to ensure efficient processes allowing the office to both serve and recruit a wide range of prospective students
Maintains student records consistent with university policy and applicable privacy regulations
Uses systems to track applications and provide information for admissions reports
Ensures that communication with students through the department phone and email are being managed in a timeline and professional manner
Works closely with student ambassadors and student workers to serve prospective students applicants admitted and current students to ensure they are assisted in such a way to maximize the opportunity for them to reach their goals
Communication and Student Support
Maintains an up-to-date admissions system to allow for both students and the admissions department to have an accurate view of the status of applicant files
Assists with registration by evaluating documents required for admissions
Maintains an efficient filing system providing a source of information to students and the admissions department
Counsels current and prospective students regarding admission procedures and timelines program offerings and career objectives
Listens to the needs of current and prospective students and connects them with the appropriate resources and student services
File Evaluation and Advising
Assists the admissions department with file evaluations once applications are complete to ensure admissions decisions are returned to applicants in a timely manner
Meets one-on-one both in-person and virtually with prospective applicants to help them understand the application waitlist and admissions processes in order for students to develop a more competitive strategy in pursuing law school enrollment
Recruitment and Outreach
Participates in the recruiting efforts of the Office of Admissions at various educational institutions
Develops relationships with advisors to encourage prospective student inquiries and applications
Provides information for recruiting reports and contributes ideas for improving recruitment efforts
Program Development and Evaluation
Assists the Admissions department with annual planning and development for different events processes and systems
Reviews and evaluates applications for the professional degree program using specific admissions criteria as guidelines
