Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 some evenings and weekends required

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement the Content Creator will be responsible for developing high-quality copy for newsletters websites social media marketing materials and other platforms. The Content Creator will understand the successes and challenges of content from our market competitors and will share their learnings with coworkers and stakeholders to consistently deliver excellence.
The Content Creator will maximize consumer engagement with marketing content share insights on competitor institution marketing content encourage collaboration across campus to unify marketing output working collaboratively with the marketing team to improve the universitys search engine optimization (SEO) presence and widen the alumni engagement marketing reach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create entertaining and informational content for the Office of Alumni Engagement to utilize in newsletters social media GEM etc.
  • Create various content types (videos articles infographics) with relevant tone and style according to the audience.
  • Serve as lead reporter and writer for the Office of Alumni Engagement. Seek out story leads translate research and write 90% of the stories.
  • When needed serves as writer and content creator for the Office for Philanthropy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required with
  • Two (2) years of content creating experience
