As a Technical Recruiter at TruckSmarter youll shape our organizations future by attracting top-tier technical talent. Your impact will extend across the company as you build and refine our hiring engine bringing in ambitious capable diverse and mission-driven individuals who align with our values and growth ambitions. Youll collaborate with teams guide hiring managers and provide strategic leadership to meet our ambitious hiring goals. Youll also shape and evolve our hiring philosophy to ensure it remains innovative effective and aligned with our employer branddelivering an exceptional experience for every candidate.
As the second member of the recruiting organization youll primarily focus on Engineering and Product roles but will likely support hiring across other departments including Design Operations Go-To-Market and Carrier Success.
Working model: TruckSmarter offers an in-office collaborative culture. This role is based out of our downtown San Francisco office and requires in-office presence three days per week (typically Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays).
What Excites You
Developing a deep understanding of new industries businesses and company cultures to deliver strategic recruitment support across teams.
Manage the full recruitment lifecyclefrom sourcing to coordination of interviews to offer and closeensuring a seamless and inclusive experience for both candidates and stakeholders.
Collaborate with hiring managers to craft job descriptions define candidate requirements and develop structured interview processes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams by providing insights best practices and data-driven recommendations to improve hiring outcomes.
Build and maintain executive relationships while delivering proactive hiring solutions that align with business goals.
Create and execute sourcing strategies for passive talent pipelines in product and engineering domains.
Coach hiring teams on best practices for interviewing candidate assessment and decision-making.
Design implement and refine recruitment programs to enhance efficiency scalability and candidate experience.
What Excites Us
4 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience focusing on Engineering and Product roles in fast-growing startups.
Proven ability to manage the complete candidate lifecycle from initial sourcing through scheduling offer negotiation and successful closing.
Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to use recruiting metrics to drive hiring strategies.
Track record of solving complex hiring challenges and effectively coaching hiring teams.
Experience managing critical roles while maintaining excellent organizational skills and stakeholder relationships.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
Expert negotiation skills backed by deep knowledge of the tech talent market.
Proven ability to excel in fast-paced environments while juggling multiple priorities.
Demonstrated success building lasting trust-based relationships with candidates.
Proficiency with modern recruiting tools including AI-powered platforms and applicant tracking systems (we use Ashby).
