Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Education Counseling or a related field preferred.
- Must be trained and certified as an NEDP Assessor through CASAS (or be willing to complete training upon hire).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult education assessment or related field.
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Technologically proficient and comfortable navigating online assessment systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced adult education environment.
- Experience working with diverse adult learner populations.

The Lead Advisor/Assessor of the National External Diploma Program (NEDP) is responsible for theadministration of the overall program. NEDP is an online applied performance assessment systemthat assesses the reading writing math and workforce readiness skills of participants in life andwork contexts. The Lead Assessor is responsible for supporting individual assessors and assistingadult education learners with an alternative way of earning their high school diploma. All Assessors
report directly to the Lead Assessor and the Lead Assessor is expected to be a part of the programleader group.
Position Summary:
Norwich Regional Adult Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Assessor to support the coordination and
delivery of the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). The Lead Assessor is responsible for conducting diagnostic
and competency-based assessments for adult learners mentoring other assessors and ensuring fidelity to NEDP policies
and procedures as outlined by CASAS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct NEDP diagnostics and competency-based assessments for enrolled adult learners.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress using the NEDP online platform.
- Provide individualized support to candidates throughout the assessment process.
- Mentor and support NEDP advisors and assessors ensuring program quality and consistency.
- Assist in scheduling assessments tracking candidate completion and managing caseloads.
- Collaborate with the Director and NEDP team to ensure program compliance with CASAS standards
- Stay current with updates to the NEDP assessment process through training webinars and ongoing professional development.
- Assist in outreach enrollment and orientation of prospective NEDP candidates as needed.
Union-optional/Non-tenure track position; hourly rate: $41.48
