The Franklin Public Schools a prek-12 district is seeking a skilled and experiencedspecial education teacher to join the preschool team at the Early ChildhoodDevelopment Center (ECDC). The teacher will work in an integrated model of servicedelivery offering academic social emotional behavioral and physical support tochildren with and without disabilities. The teacher must have experience and trainingwith young children with Autism Spectrum Duties and Responsibilities:-Establish inviting and engaging preschool classroom that addresses preschool learning standards and individual student needs-Provide positive behavior supports and interventions for children with and without disabilities-Provide academic physical social and emotional support and services-Work collaboratively with early childhood team of teachers and therapists-Collect data to measure progress against IEP goals and objectives-Participate fully in the special education process to initial evaluation IEP development and progress reportingQualifications:- Masters degree in Special Education/Early Childhood Education or related fieldpreferred-MA teaching certification in Special Education and Early Childhood Education- Experience in early childhood education- Knowledge of special education process- Experience working with young children with a wide range of disabilities- Able to take initiative and work independently- Knowledge of early childhood development- ABA training and experience is required
