About the Position Position/Specialty: Ultrasound Tech Technologist does not have to perform breast and vascular. If they have experience its okay but it is not necessary. the only things required is general US and small parts Candidate will be knowledgeable in anatomical positioning and physiology and must be able to perform high quality ultrasound examination for interpretation by a provider. Performs examinations in all areas of the ultrasound department that he/she is certified and/or trained to perform. Shift: 5x8s Days Mon-Fri 8:30a-5p or 7:30a-4p Daily Caseload per tech: >/ 13 patients per day Weekend Req (Y/N): No Holiday Req (Y/N): No Call Requirement (Y/N): No Primarily scheduled for MUSC East Cooper Medical Pavilion but may be required to travel between MUSC Physicians outreach sites located in Mt. Pleasant North Charleston and West Ashley. Required/Preferred Years of Experience Required: 2 years Accepts first time travelers: Yes Certs/License Required: BLS ARDMS Education REQ: Graduate of an approved Diagnostic Ultrasonography program Types of Cases/Scan Exp REQ: General Small Parts Pelvic Radiation Badge REQ (Y/N): No Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Radius rule Yes 60 miles. At 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility need. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Outpatient Clinic Scrub Color: Teal top Black pants Charting: Epic Parking Cost: None Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
