Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for electrical panels using sheet metal.
-
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Creo).
-
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) fabrication drawings and assembly drawings.
-
Collaborate with electrical design and production teams to ensure seamless integration.
-
Perform tolerance analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards.
-
Optimize designs for manufacturability assembly and cost.
-
Provide technical support during prototype development and production.
-
Ensure adherence to relevant safety and quality standards (e.g. IP ratings IS/IEC standards).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Strong experience in sheet metal design preferably in panel manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks AutoCAD or Creo.

Knowledge of fabrication processes like laser cutting bending welding powder coating.
-
Understanding of GD&T DFM/DFA principles.
-
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
