This is a remote position.
As a Firmware Engineer at Karaz you will be responsible for building the software that powers our next generation of health and wellness wearables. You will work closely with our hardware manufacturing partner to bring their device to life with our custom features and intelligence. Your focus will be on writing highly reliable efficient and power-optimized code that forms the core of the user experience. You will own the firmware development lifecycle from initial board bring-up and driver development to implementing application logic and ensuring robust connectivity with our servers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Firmware or Embedded Systems Engineer.
- Expert-level programming skills in C and/or C. (Experience with Rust is a major plus).
- Hands-on experience developing firmware for 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) preferably with Nordic Semiconductor (nRF series).
- Deep practical knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) including creating custom GATT services.
- Experience interfacing with sensors using protocols like I2C and SPI.
- A strong understanding of power management techniques for battery-powered devices.
- Demonstrable experience reading datasheets and schematics to write and debug low-level drivers.
