About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 6 years of experience in managing and maintaining databases for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database installation configuration performance tuning backup recovery and security. This role requires strong analytical skills problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to ensure database availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design install configure and maintain relational databases (MySQL PostgreSQL MS SQL Server or Oracle).
Monitor database performance and implement optimization techniques.
Ensure database security integrity and backup/recovery procedures.
Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools.
Collaborate with development teams for database design and query optimization.
Manage users roles and permissions.
Handle database migrations and upgrades.
Create and maintain documentation on database processes and configurations.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
4 6 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
Expertise in at least one major RDBMS: MySQL PostgreSQL MS SQL Server or Oracle.
Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g. RMAN pgdump mysqldump).
Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Experience with high-availability setups and replication.
Understanding of data modeling and schema design.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS Azure SQL or GCP) is a plus.
Strong scripting skills (Shell Python or PowerShell) preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB Redis etc.).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of regulatory standards (GDPR HIPAA etc.) related to data handling.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Education
7-10 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered designs. Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Strong understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, and interaction design. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
