The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity as a Production/Inventory Coordinator Team Lead (Level C) to support our MID Body 787 Program Operations in North Charleston SC on variable shifts.
You will be an adaptable team leader that embraces organizational and process change as positives the team should leverage to optimize effectiveness of the organization and their daily work. You will embrace continuous improvement principles to include One BPS 5S Six Sigma and utilize technology appropriately to reach team and LRBP targets.
As Team Lead you will use understanding & comprehension of BPIs BPGs and PROs to execute decisions that support safety compliance and the needs of the business. You must also have a full working knowledge of internal and external supplier management practices in order to assist management with logistical response times and production delay time planning.
Position Responsibilities:
Invest time in the team and work individually to inspire and challenge each teammate on a daily basis to reach their personal and professional goals
Ensure each member of the team understands the why for JIT manufacturing principles that guide Fulfillment POU strategies
Facilitate daily start up meetings complete face-to-face turnover with alternate shifts work with management on pre-shift post-shift and weekend work plans required to support the production line
Conduct One BPS Tier 1 meetings and assist production with One BPS activities
Assist management with team planning to include training movement of PCs across different group functions to assist with emergent needs
Coordinate with LSCC and FSCC to remove build constraints directly related to material shortages and deliveries
Leverage knowledge and experience to directly train level A & B Production Coordinators
Predict and identify inventory discrepancies and takes immediate actions necessary to correct those issues
Act as a back up to teammates to fill gaps caused by unplanned and planned labor loss
Write and review standard work in order to adapt the Fulfillment team to changing business needs
Utilize the SPS model to solve complex issues at the team building and site level
Represent the organization in cross-functional workshops and takes required actions by leveraging systems and process knowledge within their AOR
Understand foundational tenets of the 787 Dreamliner build and work directly with production to triage gaps that will affect the production system
Monitor annual training requirements and ensure team meets required training deadlines
Work on cross-functional teams to conduct Safety walks Gemba walks 5S assessments tool box daily check in/out along with monthly sweeps and compliance audits
Conduct statistical analysis in order to make difficult decisions from multiple data sources to include production quality engineering and fulfillment systems
Work under limited supervision
BasicQualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
1 years of experience working on the 787 program 787 supplier management processes and 787 production system
1 years of experience with inventory management and material requirements planning systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience &Skills):
Possess a forklift operator certification
1 years of experience mentoring coaching guiding and leading teams
Shift:
This position is for variable shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation of the need.
