Permit Technician with CAD Experience In-Office Position
Location: Kennesaw Georgia
Company: DC Enclosures Inc. Georgias Leader in Sunrooms and Outdoor Living
DC Enclosures Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Permit Technician with hands-on experience preparing and submitting building permit applications throughout Georgia. This role is ideal for someone who understands the permitting process from start to finish and has a strong background in CAD drafting especially for residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit complete building permit applications for residential sunrooms screen enclosures and additions in compliance with Georgia municipal and county requirements
Create and revise CAD drawings site plans and supporting documents to meet building code zoning and HOA/ACC guidelines
Coordinate with project managers design consultants engineers and municipal staff to gather required documentation and resolve application issues
Track and manage the status of all open permits and inspections ensuring timely approvals and renewals
Maintain accurate records of submittals revisions fees and correspondence
Assist in preparing HOA/ACC submissions and responding to plan review comments
Support team with updates to drawings and documentation for field revisions when needed
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience preparing permit packages for Georgia jurisdictions including counties such as Cobb Fulton Cherokee Paulding the City of Roswell and many others
Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar software) with the ability to produce clear code-compliant drawings and site plans
Working knowledge of residential construction terminology setbacks easements and zoning requirements
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple open permits
Professional communication skills to interact with municipalities and internal team members
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience submitting permits through online portals (e.g. SagesGov ePlan CityView etc.)
Familiarity with HOA/ACC processes
Prior experience with sunrooms screen enclosures or light residential additions is very helpful
Compensation & Schedule:
Full-time in-office position
Starting pay: $22 $28 per hour based on experience and qualifications
