Job Description

Were looking for Designers with big imaginations and a hunger to learn who are ready to push boundaries with novel come with a dedication to craft demonstrated by a high-potential portfolio of work and experimental approach and attitude. Our design group is comprised of folks who are eager to create across categories and challenges bringing ideas to life with passion and attention to detail. This individual will flourish in a fast-paced creative environmentpossessing a resourceful spirit tenacity and commitment to growth. The role is designed for designers to learn how to work at a strategy & design company develop creative skills and offer assistance to creative leadership.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brainstorming and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from upstream research phases through to final asset delivery
  • Developing brand territories visual identity systems executions and activations across a broad range of brand categories
  • Applying design knowledge in rigorous thoughtful and strategic image research for projects
  • Conducting visual research as a means of exploring brand worlds and understanding the competitive landscape
  • Crafting visually cohesive mood boards with specific inspiration and problem-solving in mind
  • Thinking and working systematically across touchpoints connecting dots between a root concept and executions in different mediums (eg logos typography color imagery etc.)
  • Extending design systems across complex ecosystems maintaining concept integrity and executional impact across applications (packaging website print and digital advertising out of home environmental design motion design etc.)
  • Creating detailed brand guidelines with clarity and technical fluency for different audiences and a range of applications
  • Working to develop and clearly express creative concepts
  • Crafting and presenting tight evocative client-ready presentations
  • Meaningfully contributing to client conversations or collaboration moments
  • Taking feedback in stride interrogating for nuances and complete understanding; implementing it thoroughly and beyond the minimum viable answer
  • Providing thoughtful feedback on others work
  • Collecting and acting on client feedback from meetings calls or documents with project teams in order to accomplish objectives
  • Ensuring design excellence & quality through consistently high standards across all outputs
  • Demonstrating an understanding of a variety of industries and types of design challenges
  • Aware of the current bevy of design tools and open to learning those necessary to support their work

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will

  • Possess exceptional presentation communication interpersonal & organizational skills
  • Value collaboration and is able to work seamlessly with others / constructive tension
  • Take the initiative to get ideas off the ground and articulated into design
  • Value imagination and bring creative lateral thinking to the work / solve problems with ingenuity
  • Take ownership and see things through to execution taking responsibility for the work
  • Can see the bigger picture and provide foresight
  • Have a well-balanced design portfolio demonstrating diverse work including (but not limited to): identity and visual systems typography layout and editorial design campaign concepting and/or packaging and experiential design
  • Possess generalist skills and acumen across graphic print and environmental design
  • Understand print processes and creative production
  • Excel in verbal and written presentation
  • Be a strong creative problem-solver
  • Manage their time and projects with efficiency meeting agreed upon deadlines with accountability & responsibility for your work
  • Work in high pressured environments without compromising on work quality
  • Remain flexible to adapt their ideas to suit client expectations
  • Be self-sufficient and collaborative; an ability to work both independently and in teams effectively
  • Demonstrate comfort and creativity with a range of brands channels and a breadth of visual styles

Other requirements:

  • BFA/BS/BA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Experience in Graphic Design Type Design Editorial and/or Campaign projects
  • Strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop) and Figma
  • Proficiency in After Effects and/or Cinema 4d or Touch Designer
  • Mastery of G Suite (Google Drive) and MS Office Suite
  • Must be willing to work in the office 1-2 days a week

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The salary for a mid-level Designer is between $85000 - $110000 per year. Individual compensation may vary based on business needs experience responsibility level and qualifications. Not all applicants experience will match the qualifications of this role in which case an alternative role or level may be suggested.

The role is eligible for annual review and a discretionary annual bonus. We offer Open PTO and a robust benefits package which can be viewedhere.

We currently offer a flexible working schedule including Work from Anywhere benefits throughout the year. Candidates must be willing to work from the office 2-3 days per week most weeks.
