Job Description

About the Role
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing core human resources functions such as recruitment employee relations compliance and benefits administration within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on enhancing employee engagement and supporting efficient HR operations. Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily HR operations including onboarding benefits enrollment and personnel file management
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings applicant screening interview scheduling and offer letter generation
  • Manage benefits-related tasks such as open enrollment employee support and claims assistance
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws as well as internal HR policies
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies procedures and employee handbooks
  • Generate HR reports and maintain accurate data for audits and internal reviews
  • Maintain and update human resources information systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee records
  • Support learning and development initiatives and track training participation
  • Conduct new hire orientations and coordinate employee engagement activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator
  • Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA ADA EEO and labor law compliance
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality
  • Understanding of payroll processes and employee benefits administration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) for recruitment and hiring
  • Background in employee training development programs or HR project management
