The Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL) provides free legal services to low-income Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities. CDELs clients individuals often marginalized by age disability and poverty may have difficulty accessing the legal system. CDEL strives to provide access to the legal system to assist our clients in asserting their legal rights and live better lives.
CDEL seeks a Bilingual English and Spanish Paralegal to support its legal services. The position will primarily support CDELs Adult Guardianship programming. CDEL provides limited representation services with its Adult Guardianship Help Desk and also provides full representation to over 100 families and caregivers each year. CDEL also provides representation in the areas of end-of-life planning consumer law and housing law. This position is currently hybrid with two days per week expected in CDELs office.

Salary range: $42-$50K depending on experience. Full-time position. CDEL offers a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision insurance flexible spending accounts 401k life insurance and short-term and long-term disability insurance. About the organization
The Center for Disability and Elder Law (CDEL) provides high-quality pro bono legal assistance to persons marginalized by poverty age and/or disability. CDELs organizational structure consists of a modest in-house staff which supports a network of hundreds of volunteer attorneys students and paralegals. CDEL volunteers provide legal representation in a wide range of civil practice areas including: guardianship simple estate planning landlord/tenant consumer debt and fraud elder abuse and real estate. CDEL has also developed a number of limited engagement opportunities for those volunteers that are unable to handle cases that require long-term client commitments.
