The Sr RF Systems Design Engineer will perform electronic analysis and some design embedded digital and analog design focusing on RF troubleshooting. Supplementary tasks include electro-mechanical systems while working in an ISO 9002 environment. This position includes support for test and product troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot RF circuits and systems
Align RF circuits
Analyze digital embedded and analog circuit design
Fundamental Design of embedded software
Design and develop test fixtures
Develop LabVIEW design
Coordinate and be responsible for the execution of a large project (broad in scope) or a number of smaller projects with complex features
Develop conceptual/preliminary designs for new projects and products
Participate in initial technical discussions with current and prospective customers as well as subsequent design review meetings
Lead design reviews
Administer electrical and mechanical design input to the engineering department
Develop bid proposals
Guide the CAD/CAE effort within engineering department
Develop test requirements and/or test procedures working with engineering and technicians
Define parts and components used in designs and systems
Collaborate with purchasing production quality and outside suppliers to set and meet schedules to accommodate customer requirements
Lead multi-disciplinary failure analysis
Provide support to manufacturing functions to ensure correct procedures and instructions utilized in building product
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Fundamental experience using RF generators analyzers and other RF equipment
Fundamental ability to troubleshoot PC hardware
Fundamental ability to specify engineering design tools
Fundamental ability to perform root cause analysis
Fundamental ability in schematic capture and electrical design
Fundamental ability to design embedded systems
Fundamental level in MS Office applications (Word Excel and Outlook)
Fundamental ability in electronic circuit design
Fundamental ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
Fundamental ability in electronic and electromechanical systems
Fundamental ability to troubleshoot down to the component level for both analog digital and embedded circuit/systems skills
Intermediate technical writing and documentation skills
Knowledge of analog circuit design
Knowledge of prototyping methods
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Knowledge of software with the ability to read and write code
Knowledge of 3-D design tools Solid Works
Advanced knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and theory
Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
Ability to plan resolve problems effectively and establish priorities
Ability to provide solutions to complex problems
Ability to multitask and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
Required Experience & Education:
Masters degree in related technical field or Bachelors degree in related technical field with 1 (One) years of relevant work experience required
Previous experience with RF electronic circuit design is required
