What is the Opportunity
RBC offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic digital transformation team within Digital Marketing to transform RBCs largest digital storefront to deliver exceptional experiences and customer value. The Senior Business Analyst will focus on documenting and translating business regulatory and digital governance requirements into solution recommendations and process flow diagrams for our digital properties as we transition to a Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
By collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and other stakeholders you will translate business needs into detailed requirements and manage business and operational risk end-to-end ensuring successful implementation and delivery of regulatory and DXP projects.
What will you do
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document their business goals challenges and desired outcomes.
Support the strategy rollout and audit of regulatory compliance initiatives including OSFI B-13 FCAC PIPEDA Qubec Law 25 AODA across RBCs public web domain experience translating business requirements into executable standards and templates testing and quality assurance as well as tracking and reporting remediation status.
Surface opportunities to streamline processes via automation and data-driven solutions.
Provide strategic input and guidance into the development of a digital governance enterprise framework including digital content and asset lifecycle best practices content publishing workflows site inventory documentation and compliance tracking.
Lead the business and operational risk portfolio for digital marketing by establishing and maintaining an end-to-end risk register for the web channel including probability/impact scoring remediation tracking and escalation to risk and other stakeholders.
Partner with the Senior Manager Digital Governance to produce monthly scorecards and real-time dashboards as well as quarterly state of governance briefings to leadership and digital marketers reporting on key metrics and insights including compliance posture SLA adherence open findings trend analysis and actionable insight recommendations.
What do you need to succeed
Must have:
5 years of experience in a business analyst business operations or related role in a digital marketing environment.
Proven expertise in business analyst techniques strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent collaboration presentation written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with technical documentation including spec docs information architecture data and process flow diagrams wireframes.
In-depth knowledge of business processes and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
Proficient knowledge and understanding of digital governance and digital security standards.
Proficient knowledge and understanding in information technology platforms and integrated systems.
Excellent partner management strong collaboration and communication skills.
Self-starter with ability to work in a matrixed organization and manage ambiguity.
Nice-to-have:
Experience in financial services B2C or B2B an asset.
Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress Drupal or Adobe Experience Manager.
Working knowledge of French is an asset. Fluency is not required.
