Job Description
Commercial Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Location: Kamloops BC
Salary Range: $65000 - $75000
Our client is one of the largest and most diverse law firms in the interior of BC and is looking for an experienced Commercial Paralegal/Legal Assistantwho can work independently with minimal supervision as well as an effective team player.
Job Duties
- To manage files relating to commercial transactions including buying and selling businesses and various real estate transactions
- Document preparation
- Various due diligence searches
- General administrative duties
- Provide assistance in relevant areas of law as required
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritize workflow to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Time management
Experience and Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in commercial transactions and commercial real estate
- Experience with property development Subdivisions will be an asset
- Experience in BC Online Land Title and Survey Authority programs as well as familiarity with corporate records will be an asset
- A degree in a relevant field would be considered an asset
