Required Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma;
Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week (more hours may be required).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all members swipe for entry into the Fitness Center and verify eligibility;
Greet visitors/students;
Answer the phones;
Assist callers with the information they seek regarding the Fitness Center;
Print out Table/Door signs for events (as needed);
Assist with other tasks as needed;
Become familiar with the campus and the A-Z directory on the university website.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Be a responsible and dependable person;
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;
Be self-motivated and customer-service oriented;
Ability to work independently and as a part of a productive team;
Ability to be flexible and willing to pitch in when and where they are needed;
Be resourceful in finding appropriate information to answer customer and employee questions;
Have the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously;
Communicate and work well with staff and customers;
Ability to work within a variety of departments and settings;
Ability to perform light cleaning duties;
Must be available to work some nights and weekends.
