PRIMARY PURPOSE:
With collaboration from department leadership establishes modifies coordinates and communicates the assignment scheduling and routing of student transportation operations. Maintains a variety of department records. Performs a wide variety of specialized and analytical duties relatedto the safe and efficient operation of a comprehensive school bus system
so that students can fully access the districts academic and extracurricular program. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED required
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required
Passenger and School Bus Endorsements required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of computer applications related to specific job functions; strong writing and communication skills; working knowledge of two-way radios and multi-line telephone systems; must have a pleasing personality and ability to get along with adults; ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities in situations requiring diplomacy friendliness confidentiality poise tact and good judgment; fluent in English and Spanish.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in related field preferred

Auxiliary Pay Structure: Pay Grade7
Pay Date: Monthly
Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $18.70
Midpoint: $22.26
Maximum: $25.82
Note:Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each persons job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.

Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively concentrate reason understand verbal instructions compute and maintain emotional control under stress; ability to handle several projects at the same time with frequent interruptions. Ability and availability to work flexible hours (not a fixed schedule) according to department needs.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
District travel; prolonged and irregular hours; repetitive hand motions and sitting; prolonged work outside in extreme cold (below 32 degrees) and extreme heat (above 100 degrees); shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level; exposure to oscillating movement of the extremities of the body
