About the Role:

Cessnock District Hospital is a 36-bed facility delivering essential medical services to the local community including emergency surgical and general care. They are seeking proactive and dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join their close-knit supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals passionate about community-based care offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic and welcoming environment.

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) working across the medical and surgical wards you will provide individualised high-quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will play a key role in supporting positive health outcomes while contributing to a collaborative and caring team environment.




About You:
You will bring -
  • Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year) or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diplomas of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).

  • Recent experience working within a hospital setting delivering patient care in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.

You will be supported by Nurse Unit Managers Registered Nurses Enrolled Nurses and the Clinical Nurse Educator. A range of educational and professional development opportunities are also available.
