Head of School Position
Brand new classical Catholic school seeks Head of School!
Located in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and canonically established by Archbishop Paul Coakley in 2025 St. Monica Catholic Academy will form students in holiness wisdom and virtue. Inspired by the Catholic Liberal Arts model of education and rooted in the Sacred Liturgy the school aims to cultivate minds that seek truth hearts that love beauty and souls that live for goodness preparing students for this life and eternity. The academy will open in August of 2026 with two sections of PreK4 through Grade 2 adding a grade level each year to ultimately become the first PreK-12 Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
We seek a visionary and faithful Head of School to establish shape and lead St. Monica Catholic Academy. The Head of School will be the founding architect of the schools mission overseeing its spiritual academic and operational foundations. The right candidate will be an inspiring leader deeply immersed in the Catholic intellectual and liturgical traditions capable of assembling a world-class faculty attracting interested families and ensuring that the school stands as a beacon of Catholic education for generations to come. While this is not a typical administrative position the Head of School will also serve as the initial principal of the grammar school and in that role must possess the requisite skills to spearhead faculty formation curriculum implementation school finances and enrollment management as well as to develop a warm rapport with fellow principals teachers the parents of small children parishioners and members of the local community.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Devout practicing Catholic with a strong personal prayer life
Deep commitment to understanding of and ability to adeptly apply Catholic liberal arts tradition in a classroom setting for the formation of the whole child
Familiarity with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools and the Catholic Curriculum Standards
Graduate degree in theology philosophy education or the liberal arts
Oklahoma principal certification or ability to obtain
Experience as a principal or teacher in a classical Catholic school setting preferred
Proficient knowledge of the instructional and accreditation process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing faculty and staff maintaining a balanced budget and analyzing student achievement enrollment and demographic data for decision making
