Responsibilities of a Ferman diesel technician are:
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles to specifications; ensuring vehicles are safe to drive.
- Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Must be able to properly diagnose repair and document repairs.
- Possess a strong work ethic and drive.
- Ability to complete jobs correctly and efficiently the first time.

Qualifications of a Ferman diesel technician are:
- Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screen.
- Strong computer and internet skills.
- Automotive certifications or designation desired.
- Capable of driving both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Possess all basic tools needed to repair gas and diesel vehicles.
- Capable of communicating with coworkers clearly and effectively.
- Excellent guest service skills.
