Job Description
Job Title: CAD Designer
Location: Texas City TX
Type: Long Term Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer with 13 years of experience to join our Engineering and Information Management (Eng/IM) drafting team at a leading chemical refinery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated designer to contribute to complex oil & gas projects in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and revise detailed drawings for refinery equipment piping systems instrumentation layouts and structural components.
- Support engineers and project teams by producing accurate and timely CAD deliverables.
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with company and industry specifications.
- Participate in field walkdowns and site visits to verify existing conditions as needed.
- Assist in the organization and upkeep of the drawing database and document control systems.
Requirements:
- 13 years of professional CAD drafting experience.
- Prior experience drafting in oil & gas or chemical/refinery environments.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of MicroStation or other drafting tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of P&IDs piping layouts and isometric drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches specifications and vendor data.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
