Provide leadership and direction to the business and support services team overseeing functions such as janitorial operations property management and transportation. Guide the team in executing plans and initiatives that align with the mission of the organization and departmental goals.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define organizational strategic priorities goals and the annual budget. Ensure department goals and objectives support the mission vision and strategic direction of the organization.
Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and operations including functioning of all buildings and grounds systems: mechanical electrical plumbing and waste management.
Oversee janitorial operations building upkeep and vendor contracts including IDOT and state facilities ensuring efficiency and service quality.
Provide oversight of property management and capital construction projects within Supportive Housing Programs including residential renovations from concept to completion. Monitor tenant relations and ensure coordination with Community Mental Health when additional resident supports are needed.
Oversee transportation services activities and ensure operational efficiency compliance and customer satisfaction.
Implement and monitor revenue and expense budgets for all areas of responsibility including janitorial operations PSH Projects maintenance and capital project budgets. Ensure that delivery of services is the most cost-appropriate and all projects are on schedule and within budget.
Work in partnership with the Development department to secure capital grants for facilities utilities fleet and related operational needs.
Procurement of vendors for operation and maintenance of all company assets including the negotiation of contracts on time price and deliverables.
Oversee asset management and building security including but not limited to space planning and equipment needs (cell phones software laptop keys fobs copiers etc.).
Responsible for oversight of fleet management contracts for all vehicles including maintenance and fuel plans.
Ensure that staff use sound business and customer service practices in providing support to internal and external customers. Facilitate an annual Support services and/or resident survey.
Ensure staff follow property waste safety protocols including hazardous waste disposal and coordinate as needed with OSHA and local/state health departments. Support adherence to licensing accreditation safety standards and agency policies.
Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in a related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of six years experience with at least three years in a supervisory/administrative role.
Experience in the field of disabilities preferred interacting with a diverse population.
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Valid drivers license and documentation of current auto insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report. Must obtain and hold PACE Driver certification and meet Pace Safety Sensitive qualifications
Proficient in the use of computers software applications and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite G-suite and other various programs
