Job Description

Threat Tec is seeking a Head of Mission Engineering to lead one of the most critical growth pillars in our company. This is a senior executive role for a hands-on technical leader with a warfighters mindset and a passion for building systems that matter.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of our most advanced wargaming and threat-replication platformsprograms like WRAITH and VEZIwhile leading a highly capable team inside our 25000 SF engineering and prototyping facility. This role is central to our vision of delivering battlefield realism through modular rapidly deployable technologies including AI-at-the-edge robotics 3D printing and 5-axis CNC machining.

Key Responsibilities

    • Own the execution and evolution of the Mission Engineering division
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams in R&D prototyping and production
    • Integrate advanced technologies (AI automation threat modeling) into deliverable systems
    • Deliver on aggressive timelines with precision and flexibility
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic outcomes
    • Build and nurture a culture of technical excellence urgency and mission-first innovation

Candidate Profile

    • 10 years in applied systems engineering defense prototyping or threat emulation
    • Proven leadership of multi-platform defense programs
    • Strong field credibilitycomfortable engaging with warfighters and executive leaders
    • Familiarity with modular design agile development and immersive training systems
    • Deep understanding of the DoD landscape and operational requirements
