Our client is a dynamic healthcare network operating twelve skilled nursing facilities across Connecticut committed to excellence in long-term care. They are seeking a high-level HR executive to drive people strategy and organizational development across a workforce of more than 2000 employees.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $150000 to $200000 (based on credentials and experience)

- Eligibility begins 1st of the month after 60 days
- Vision and Dental insurance also available
- Company-Paid Life Insurance $50000 (reduces to $25000 at age 70)
- Optional supplemental life coverage for employees and dependents
- Short-Term Disability 60% salary up to $250/week (company-paid)
- Starts on day 15 of disability; payable for up to 11 weeks
- Long-Term Disability 50% salary up to $3000/month (company-paid)
- Begins after 90 days of disability

Responsibilities
- Lead the human resources function for a multi-site healthcare organization with 2000 employees
- Oversee and support HR teams including Generalists and Assistants across all locations
- Manage strategic HR initiatives in:
- Talent acquisition and retention
- Onboarding and staff development
- Labor relations and union negotiations
- Employee engagement and recognition programs
- Compensation planning and payroll coordination
- Leave administration and regulatory compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and site administrators
- Provide guidance on employment law and disciplinary matters
- Ensure compliance with state and federal labor regulations
- Champion a positive inclusive and high-performance workplace culture
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience with significant leadership responsibilities
- Healthcare or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
- Union negotiation or labor relations experience a plus
- In-depth knowledge of HR disciplines including employment law compensation and employee relations
- Exceptional interpersonal organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and related technology platforms
- Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut with occasional out-of-state travel
