Job Summary:
The Personal Computer (PC) Specialist is responsible for approximately 850 PCs and 80 Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) help desk environment and management of three (3) data centers and their associated hardware / software technologies.
Experience Knowledge Skills:
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree
Two (2) years of experience in hands-on support of Intel-based personal computers.
Hands-on experience with installing troubleshooting configuring and deploying Microsoft macOS and IOS Based devices.
Valid Drivers license
Preferred Requirements:
Industry certifications
Bachelors degree
OR
Any combination of related education experience certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge. Skills and Abilities:
Experience supporting desktop applications such as Microsoft M365 applications.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows based personal computers in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment.
Ability to work in a project management/project team member capacity to accomplish various technology initiatives.
Ability to read write and interpret technical documentation.
Ability to work overtime nights and/or weekends.
Demonstrated strong communication and customer service skills.
Proven track record of resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to details
Knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoots and maintain Microsoft macOS and IOS based personal computers and devices.
Services Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
Services and manages desktop application software.
Provides technical support in a help desk environment.
Sets up maintains and troubleshoots personal computer hardware operating systems and desktop application software.
Provides technical support to staff from multiple agencies in a one-on-one basis both onsite and via a telephone help desk environment.
Installs and maintains computer-related devices.
Assists users in software / hardware evaluation.
Presents information to IT staff and customers as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel:
Occasional travel locally to site visits; possible travel to training and certification opportunities.
Work Environment:
Frequent interaction with City employees via telephone and in person.
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
Work is performed in a typical IT office environment which requires normal safety precautions working around computers.
