Job Description

As a Parts Quality Inspector you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of manufactured goods to ensure they meet established quality standards technical drawings and purchase order specifications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality assurance as well as ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards.

Salary Range: $60000/year to $85000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting thorough inspections of manufactured goods to ensure they meet established quality standards technical drawings and purchase order specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments gauges CMM and tools to perform accurate measurements and assessments of parts.
  • Compare inspection results to established quality standards and identify any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Record inspection findings and maintain accurate records of inspection reports non-conformance reports and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining inspection procedures checklists and documentation to ensure consistent quality assessment.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections to monitor quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on inspection results and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent quality defects and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support internal audits and FAA surveillance activities as well as ensure all work performed complies with FAA regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a quality inspector in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints and specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100ISO9001 and strong working knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments gauges and other inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document deviations from specifications
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and quality assurance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting inspection results.
