CATALYST TECH
This position pays based on experience and interview.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years of continuous and current experience as a Catalyst Tech in a petrochemical industrial or manufacturing environment. DCS board experience a plus. Process Operations degree preferred. Catalyst Tech will be able to start regenerating catalyst batches ability to pump and add catalyst and back flush filters. A TRANSPORTATION WORKERS IDENTIFICATION CREDENTIAL (TWIC) IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes the Catalyst Tech Training Process.
- Training under the customers procedures and processes.
- Demonstrates initiative in learning and doing all Success Factors training.
- Demonstrates safe work practices and actively participates in safety programs.
- Participates in good housekeeping practices.
- Communicates well with everyone involved.
- Employees work with safety in mind in everything we do
- Inspect the Forklift for any issues.
- Complete field evaluation of forklift and able to operate forklift in a safe manner. (certified)
- Fills out required paperwork.
- Ability to pump and add catalyst and back flush filters.
- Ability to let down and rinse regenerated.
- Demonstrates ability to start regenerating catalyst batches.
- Conducts daily inspections of basic safety equipment such as fire extinguishers safety showers and eye wash stations in his work area.
- Monitors product transfer for safety quality and productivity.
- Participates in Mundy BBs program. (Behavior Based Observations similar to ZIP)
- Participates in safety audits as requested
- Attends various required training classes several with refresher requirements (annual or other)
- Uses extensive written procedures in completing all product transfer work
- Uses extensive written check sheets in connection with product transfer work.
- Participates in a field trainer for new employees.
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
