Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Laundry Worker who will provide adequate clean sanitary linen for patients and staff. The Laundry Worker will sort and build loads as trained and directed; record poundage; operate washers using correct formula; report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor; and sort clean laundry into drying and ironing categories.
The Laundry Worker will also dry sorted laundry to the proper dryness making sure not to harm the fabric; operate ironer as trained using the proper heat setting; assure that items are properly dry folded tied and stacked; count clean laundry on units; and accurately record poundage sent to each unit.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read write and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to lift heavy objects operate laundry equipment stand for long periods of time walk on dry and wet surfaces and work in a wet hot and humid environment
