Job Description
If youre an experienced accounting professional looking for meaningful flexible work in a small collaborative environment this opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate impact. Were partnering with an Omaha-based company thats looking to add a hands-on controller in a part-time capacity (2025 hours/week). This tight-knit team is seeking someone to lead day-to-day accounting operations and build the processes and structure needed to support continued growth.
In this role youll be responsible for:
- Managing daily accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable invoicing payment follow-up bank reconciliations and accurate financial data entry across multiple entities using QuickBooks.
- Developing and refining internal controls and accounting processes by identifying inefficiencies implementing improvements and ensuring timely accurate financial reporting.
- Supporting tax compliance and planning through research of accounting treatments accurate classification of expenses and coordination with external tax advisors.
- Overseeing insurance and compliance tasks including maintaining policy documentation and supporting renewals and updates across entities.
- Providing general operational support by serving as the main point of contact for external accounting partners and assisting with ad hoc administrative and financial projects.
