AH Feasibility and NPD

Job Purpose

The role of our job context is in extrusion area where more than 9000 profiles are produced. Dies will be sourced from alupuram plant as well as designed and manufactured at state of the art dieshop facility at Silvassa.

The demand of semi -fabricated aluminum extrusion products have increased tremendously in end application specially in B&C market architecture section which requires strict time line to meet customer demand. The job requires value addition in the dies by doing correction as per the production feed back for producing quality Extruded products. The major aspect of the job would be to bring in innovative technologies for improving productivity of dies and efficiency of the team.

Major Challenges :

• To ensure availability of all the dies at Extrusion Press as per Production Planning.

• To repair critical and complicated profiles
• To incorporate all repair work in design for value addition.
• To reclaim/re-engineering the worn out dies
• To train people for multi-skill activities

To identify Digital technology & analytics projects across repair area to increase die life improve quality of dies and increase efficiency of the team.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

New Product Development

• Monitoring of the feasibility process & ensuring the activity completion on time.
• Maintaining the data related to conversion of the feasibility to orders.
• Interacting with sales team for the samples requirement.
• Submission of the tentative sample submission date to customer.
• Monitoring the revisions required from the customer for the feasibility/NPD.
• Tracking the NPD for the automotive sectors & providing the details to concerned team.
• Visting the customer to understand their requirements & visualizing the same during the feasibility stage.
• Discussion with operation team on what needs to be done in achieving the customer requirement.
• Ensuring the drawings developed are enclosed with all the details of the customer requirements.

2. Cost Reduction

(To implement effective utilization of resources to achieve minimum cost)

• To avoid any failure in achieving the customer requirement post die development.
• To ensure full proof methodology for the feasibility of the profile.
• Avoiding the retrials of the die & meeting the customer requirement for the sample submission once for all.

3. System Management and Digital & analytics projects

(To Implement systems and digital technologies for quality productivity and efficiency improvement)

• To implement and review quality system procedures.
• To maintain Feasibility records for better traceability.
• Develop skills in Digital Solutions analytics for successful execution and developing a feasibility system.

4. Safety.

(To ensure safe work practices and procedures at work place)

• To ensure use of PPE at work place
• To identify unsafe work condition and practices and take corrective action
• Ensure safe handling of equipments.
• Regular counseling of workmen to follow safe working procedures

5. People Development

(Build and develop skills of people to enable them to contribute effectively in operation.)

• Develop people for feasibility & multi skill activities
• To be updated with new process used worldwide and adopt the best practices for productivity improvement of feasibility

Required Experience:

Manager
