You will plan organise and co-ordinate resources to meet Production requirements carrying out re-active on-going and planned preventative maintenance and ensuring that all site property equipment and other assets are fit for purpose in compliance with Group standards and best practices. This will include the planning and co-ordination of installations testing operation maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment as per Production requirements and the management of continuous improvement projects. You will develop propose and agree functional budgets monitoring managing and controlling all activities in accordance with the agreed functional budget and investigating and resolving any variances.
Pro-active in your approach you will work to continuously improve machine availability and effectiveness.
Operating in line with Health and Safety Standards you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of your team at all times ensuring faultless compliance with the Elis Health and Safety Policy and National Legislative Requirements. This will include ensuring that the appropriate training is completed faultless compliance with regulations for fire and alarm systems (PAT pressure valves etc.) analysing results and ensuring corrective action implemented and ensuring risk assessments/COSSH/RIDDOR etc. are implemented and undertaken. You will also ensure that accident prevention measures are initiated as required and that PPM schedule is adhered to escalating issues as appropriate.
We are looking for an individual who has proven managerial experience within production supply chain and /or service management and proven ability to build and lead effective working teams. Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or a proven track record from a lean manufacturing/process industry you will possess good attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively to continuously improve the department and/or team. You will possess excellent IT skills with knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn technical terminology and processes. In addition you will have experience of implementing continuous improvement programmes.
Experience of Lean (Six Sigma) methodologies is desirable.
