Temporary Full-Time 80 Hours - Aug 3 2025 - March 31 2025
Hillside Pinesis a person-first long-term care home on the beautiful South Shore of NovaScotia. Nestled in the heart of Bridgewater we offer opportunities formeaningful work as part of a team creating the future of long-term care.
If you arepassionate about contributing to a positive person-first community wecurrently have two temporary part-time postings for Long-Term CareAssistant.
Position Summary:
The Long-term Care Assistant isresponsible for assisting with the delivery of leisure/therapeutic recreation that enhance the quality of life for allElders living at Hillside Pines.
Qualifications:
- Have a keeninterest in working with a senior population in long term care.
- Able to work aspart of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated flexibility creativity andtime management skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Willing to learn and work independently when trained.
- Strong interpersonal skills including activelistening empathy; effective oral and written communication.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office SuiteZoom iPads and any software or equipment aimed at enhancing the life ofelders.
- Understanding and commitment to HillsidePines Mission Vision Values and the Eden Alternative philosophy to providequality care and service to Elders.
Hours of Work:
Includes evenings weekends and holidays as neededto meet the wellbeing needs of Elders.
