Job Description

SoarTechs Contracts and Procurement department is seeking apart time temporaryIntern who is interested in helping support the management of our research development and implementation of this exciting technology into everyday operations. This is an entry-level position where the individual will be able to apply business administration fundamentals concepts and procedures that will expand their knowledge into workforce level experience.

This teammate will be responsible for supporting the Director of Contracts and Procurement with departmental tasks and purchasing processes. This intern will support the management and revision of department data repositories and complete data entry tasking. Individuals will be asked to work across numerous departments at the organization such as accounting and the Program Management Office. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing organizing and electronically filing contract documents and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate data in contract tracking spreadsheets and document repositories.
  • Support entry and update of contract metadata in Salesforce.
  • Monitor and track contract deliverables due dates and approvals.
  • Participate in department meetings and assist with action tracking and documentation.
  • Assist in developing testing or applying LLM-based tools to automate document search summarization or classification tasks.
  • Research and summarize regulatory requirements relevant to contracts and compliance (e.g. FAR/DFARS).
  • Support improvement of templates forms or workflows used by the Contracts team.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams to support contract-related needs and clarify document requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelors degree in business management legal studies public administration or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing structured data and documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced virtual or office-based setting.
  • Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one. To learn more about the security clearance process please access this link.

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.
