What You Will Do
Clinical Duties:
- Safely and accurately delivers all electrophysiology modalities in age-appropriate care setting.
- Serves as a patient advocate with patient safety as a priority.
- Verifies accurate physician orders for procedures.
- Complies with all protocol guidelines and documentation requirements. Complies with the Joint Commission and HIPPA standards including universal precautions infection control technique correct hand hygiene procedure and patient identification.
- Appropriately uses hospital computers and promotes hospitality standards.
- Accurately documents and charts procedures.
- Completes assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Completes shift report timely with accurate information.
- Ensures availability of equipment and timely completion of tests.
- Commits to cross-training within the department:
- EKG - proper lead placement on patients of all ages (12- and 18- lead); quality tracing
- STRESS TESTING - ability to perform blood pressure monitoring and operate treadmill
- EEG - manual and/or cap proper placement of electrodes using a 17-channel system; perform photic stimulation and hyperventilation for activation procedures
- HOLTER MONITORING - proper hook-up and removal of holter monitoring recording in preparation for physician interpretation
Communication:
- Is involved in patient care. Communicates with other care team members physicians and department personnel including manager and other team members. Uses good verbal and written communication and listening skills. Utilizes Promise behaviors to resolve workplace disagreements and help build and maintain positive working environment. Participates in maintaining department morale.
Customer Focus and Satisfaction:
- Measures to ensure accurate and appropriate provision of services and customer satisfaction. Is customer service oriented for positive customer outcomes. Collaborates with customer groups (patients department/hospital staff physicians and other internal/external customer groups as appropriate for the department services ) to understand and priority customer expectations.
Goals Supervision Timeliness:
- Attends required department inservices and meetings. Completes department and organization education requirements. Provides education record and annual skills competency documentation as requested.
Time and Attendance:
- Attendance scheduling punctuality and availability are appropriate for FTE status. Manages time of shift and assigned duties.
