Job Description
Position: Mortgage Underwriter Residential Lending
Location: North Hollywood CA (On-site required)
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Salary: $75000 to $95000 annually plus bonus
Employment Type: Full-time
Overview:
Our client a well-established mortgage lender in North Hollywood is seeking an experienced residential mortgage underwriter with strong Non-QM experience to join their team. This is a full-time on-site role focused on Non-QM Agency and FHA underwriting.
Please note: We do not set the requirements for the role they are determined by the client.
Responsibilities:
Full file underwriting of residential loans including Non-QM Agency and FHA
Analyze complex income and asset documentation (Bank Statements P&L WVOE DSCR and asset-based lending)
Ensure files meet all investor and internal guidelines
Communicate with internal teams to support smooth pipeline flow
Stay current on industry guidelines and changes
Requirements:
At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience
Non-QM underwriting experience is required
Proficiency in Encompass LOS
Familiarity with Agency and FHA guidelines
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred:
Candidates actively working or with a recent gap of less than 6 months
Comfortable working on-site in North Hollywood
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $75000$95000 depending on experience
Bonus potential
