Job Duties
Receives and stores food and supplies. Follows proper storage procedures rotates stock using first in first out procedure stores all items in the appropriate areas keeping storage areas clean. Being sure frozen items are properly thawed in a timely manner. Be sure items are received and stored properly according to VDH ServSafe and fire codes. Responsible for all paperwork associated with invoices temperature logs inventory control scheduled cleaning tasks and work orders. Communicates with staff to ensure inventory related needs are met. Ask questions when unsure of products.
Properly and quietly assembles resident trays. Provides delivery of meal carts or trays to units. Assists with preparing delivery and cleanup of between meal nourishment. Responsible for pickup of food carts and delivery to dish room.
Assists in the receiving and storage of food supplies. Completes daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Follow Departments safety and sanitation guidelines. Completes daily frozen pulls from list. Cleans and sanitizes all store room walls racks and floors daily. Cleans and sanitizes all food service carts racks and trash cans daily. Cleans and sanitizes all beverage machines weekly. Cleans all food service delivery equipment and dishware as needed. Monitors all food service storage units temperatures and documents as required daily.
Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within Dietary departments mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous stocking experience a plus. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more. Knowledge of rotation of stock.
