POSITION DESCRIPTION
Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic energetic and effective Assistant PreschoolTeacher. Looking for a highly collaborative and an effective communicator both using verbal and written skills.

Hours: Monday through Thursday; 8:30am-2:30pm
Salary: $16.50 - $17.11 per HVFSMCCcontract
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Should be familiar with High Scope
2. Experience with preschool children ages 2 12 - 5 years
3. Ability to initiate interact and encourage children in activities
4. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with parents students and staff
5. Must be at least 18 years of age
6. Required to have a current TB test CPR & First Aid training certificates; Child Abuse & Neglect clearance from MiLEAP; Blood Borne Pathogen training
7. Ability to exert physical effort in sedentary to heavy work involving routine stooping kneeling crouching and reaching
8. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Share responsibility for the physical social emotional and academic welfare of all students
2. Work with the teacher to maintain materials equipment and classroom as required by child daycare licensing
3. Attend staff training and meetings
4. Other duties as assigned by the preschool teacher Early Childhood Supervisor and/or the Early Childhood Director
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma and/or related experience.
LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS:Ability to speak and write to apply mathematical concepts to practical to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
