This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic growing liver transplant program at the University of Chicagoan institution at the forefront of innovation and excellence in transplant care.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management. As an APP you will manage a caseload of patients and exercise autonomous decision-making in the assessment diagnosis and initiation of delegated medical treatments.
This individual utilizes advanced practice skills obtained through the completion of a formal provider program. These skills include advanced levels of assessment planning intervention and evaluation of care. For this position the APP will be responsible for functions related to the clinical care and management of solid organ transplant patients and others with end-stage organ disease. The APP is also responsible for planning organizing and directing patient care efforts in collaboration with medical and surgical physicians and other team members.
In addition this position includes the management of pre-liver transplant patients post-liver transplant patients and general hepatology patients. The APP will also perform procedures such as FibroScans and paracentesis. This role follows a hybrid model encompassing inpatient management of high MELD and other appropriate patients as well as outpatient care for recently discharged patients and urgent visits.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
