Job Description
We aim to study the role of the hematopoietic system as a hub between cardiovascular and kidney Department of Nephrology and EKFZ (Else Krner-Fresenius-Stiftung)
- provides excellent facilities to conduct interdisciplinary research in the field of Nephrology and Cardiovascular biology

- is embedded in the excellence cluster Cardio-Pulmonary Institute (CPI) the Deutsche Zentrum fr Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung (DZHK) and the CRC TRR 219
Your Role:
- Make use of state-of-the art technologies and ample training opportunities mentoring and a stimulating translational environment
- Independently develop new ideas and cutting-edge new translational projects
- Planning execution and analysis of experiments aiming to mechanistically and functionally characterize the hematopoietic system at the interface between heart and kidney
- Publication of scientific manuscripts in high-ranking journals
- Participation in scientific conferences and research networks
- A master degree and a PhD in biochemistry cellular / molecular biology medical biology computational biology or a related field.
- Solid expertise in cell and molecular biology medical biology and physiology
- In-depth knowledge of molecular biology ideally including experience with single-cell technologies and epigenetics
- Very good command of English
- Strong IT skills and advanced knowledge of bioinformatics
- Organized team-oriented flexible open-minded and possessing strong communication skills
- Due to legal regulations valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
