Job Description
Keene Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Wellness Floor Staff member to join their team. In this role you will instruct members in a safe enjoyable and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Essential Functions of the Wellness Center Staff
1. Builds personal culturally aware and meaningful relationships with YMCA members participants volunteers and guests. While exemplifying the Ys commitment to the four-character values of caring honesty respect & responsibility and responds to all member and community inquiries in a timely manner.
2. Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
4. Maintain a safe fun and effective wellness center as directed by the supervisor to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
5. Keeps accurate floor attendance records.
6. Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
7. Is committed to their work schedule showing up on time and preparing for all shifts.
8. Responsible to help maintain a safe clean working environment by cleaning and caring for all equipment used.
9. Personally responsible for their own professional development by maintaining all required certifications and attending all staff meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Meets 80% to 100% of the following qualifications:
1. Must have 1-2 years of experience working around wellness equipment.
2. Have general knowledge of proper workout form and mechanics.
3. Ability to perform duties with professionalism enthusiasm kindness empathy care honesty and respect.
4. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
PREFERED LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have 5 years of experience working with wellness equipment.
2. Degree or certification in the health and wellness field.
