You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Case Management Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support to the court with a focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of case processes and workflow via the courts electronic filing case management and public-facing portal system applications. The Case Management Coordinator performs tasks such as scheduling document management communication and compliance with legal procedures. The Case Management Coordinator is the courts subject matter expert on the courts case management applications and must have a thorough understanding of various aspects of the court system and legal process.
This position will be required to be in the office during the training period and may be eligible for a hybrid teleworking schedule.
What Youll Do:
These functions are illustrative only. Incumbents may perform some or all of these duties or other job-related duties as assigned:
-Analysis of case management workflow and process improvement.
-Performance tracking of implemented workflows; report on findings and recommendations.
-General support of the various court case applications to ensure optimal functionality performance and security.
-Court-user training on case applications.
-Troubleshoot/work to resolve system-related problems.
-Case audits and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with court rules and established policies and procedures.
-Case data analytics and statistical reporting.

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in a related field such as legal studies criminal justice or social sciences.
-Or the equivalent of 18 months or more experience in court case management case/claims processing or a legal/administrative support setting.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Classification Qualifications for Employment noted above.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Paralegal certification or court background.
-Certified Court Manager (CCM) certification.
The selected candidate will be expected to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive issues before the court as well as understand the limitation of case management services and what constitutes the unauthorized practice of law.
The Ohio Court of Claims is a statutorily created court with statewide jurisdiction and hears claims against the state of Ohio for money damages appeals from Attorney General decisions regarding claims filed under the Victims of Crime Compensation Program and complaints from citizens against government agencies regarding denial of access to public records. The Ohio Court of Claims is located along with the Ohio Supreme Court in the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center a restored 15 story building located along the Scioto River in downtown Columbus.
